Tim (ex 40 Cdo RM, Mortar Tp) and Maggies pub is the only traditional Irish Pub in Vail, Colorado. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, you can hear the history whispering in the background, as well as the sandbags being pulled up for a few war stories from guests and the owners. Tim and Maggie are superb hosts and make everyone welcome at their pub, not to be missed if your in the area.
One look at the pub and it's obvious that Tim and Maggie, have made great efforts to make the pub authentic and give it that real Irish feeling when inside. Artifacts cling to the walls, showing a time past in another country. Maggie offers traditional Irish dishes at her pub, like bangers and mash, fish and chips and an assortment of pot pies. The recipes for the menu have been passed down through the generations of Maggies family and Irish background and don't come anymore authentic than this in the U.S.A. Dishes like steak and kidney pie, Guinness beef broxty and shepherd's pie adorn the menu like badges of honor won in old-world kitchens in the British Isles. This excellent menu can be washed down with a pint of the black stuff, Guinness or Smithwick's.
